Child Abuse (The Rest Of
The Story)

Information About Child Abuse
This section is dedicated to
a subject that we have worked very close with for over 12 years. I won't
tap dance around by painting a pretty picture of child abuse because
pretty pictures of child abuse don't exist. Kids are getting molested at
an alarming rate. Parents abusing their kids by beating, burning,
raping, abandonment, starvation, sodomy and more. A child abuse picture
is always an ugly one. Child abuse statistics are depressing and not
enough people care to get involved. While a child abuse article such as
this may help to inform, this article alone won't help the statistics. Finding
a personal child abuse story in Foster Homes is never a problem.
Changing a personal child abuse story is yet another story. For more
information about child abuse, just keep reading.
[Stop here if you can't take take the rest of the story. I will get
graphic]. We've worked with DPCS, CPS, Region Center and the Foster Care
Division For Specialized Homes. Some details associated with cases I
have worked on brought tears to the eyes of many. Six year old kids
infected with every drug you can name. I have interviewed kids whose
parents stuck broom sticks up their rectum, household items in their
vaginas and burned them with cigarettes. Looking into the eyes of a
brain damaged boy whose head made contact with the concrete after
exiting a 3rd story window (the hard way) at the age of 3, had rather
dim hopes for a long future. Seven year old kids molested by their
parents and have now turned PREDATOR, victimizing their own class mates
during school hours. Juvenile molestations & homicides in Foster
Homes designed to provide shelter and protection seem impossible to
control under existing conditions. (Notice: I did not say,
"designed to provide love").
What Do You Think
Happens In Foster Homes?
Sexually molested charged up
kids who now share bedrooms with other kids continue to molest.
Homosexuality begins at a very young age when you live in "The
System". Need more information about child abuse in Foster
Homes?
What About The Parents?
When the parents get
convicted, some go to jail. Others get counseling or some form of mental
help.
Most of the time nothing happens to the parents. Oh by the way, I forgot
to mention the parents usually make more kids! That's right, kids who
also end up in the system or runaway and end up dead, gang members, drug
users or killers. Next, the parents complain about how bad The System
has treated their kids. Ironic isn't it?
What About The Kids?
The kids who make it to
"The System" usually get there because they don't have a
family member willing to step forward and get involved. "The
System" (having no place else to put them), divides them up into
communities just like yours and mine. Small percentages of the adult
survivors of The System go forward to lead happy productive lives.
Sexual misconduct and physical acts of violence occurring in "The
System" are generally not reported to law enforcement agencies
because "they're just babies".
In addition, the law in most states prevent disclosure of juvenile
records. (That's good you say)?
When these young sexual PREDATORS attend school with your daughters and
play with your sons, situations happen. Situations that our kids are
almost always too embarrassed to tell us about.
By the time you notice that something is wrong, the molestation to your
child has already happened anyway. Do you still want to keep this a
secret?
Enough Question, What About Answers?
When you suspect a child is
being abused and others have turned the other cheek:
-
Obtain evidence against
the parents leading to incarceration or what ever the local system
of justice calls for in the case. Get time stamped photos of
injuries, video taped interviews with the child and documented
witness statements. Where sexual molestation is suspected, a medical
examination / "Rape Kit" is recommended.
-
Call the Police or any
local law enforcement agency.
-
Search for a family
member to take the displaced child so "The System" won't
get them.
-
When family is not
available or for personal reasons are not able to help, search for a
responsible alternative so "The System" won't get
them.
