Chapter 846E, Hawaii Revised Statutes, mandates that the Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center maintain a central repository of convicted sex offenders in the State of Hawaii. Persons who have been convicted of certain sex offenses or offenses against children are required to register. Each registered sex offender is given a court hearing to determine if that person's information shall be made public. The following information about those persons is available to the public: name, photograph, street name of residence, vehicle(s) driven, street name of employment, college/university affiliation, and crime for which convicted. 
REMINDER
Positive identification of a person believed to be a sex offender cannot be established unless the person's fingerprints are compared against the offender's fingerprints taken at the time of arrest or incarceration.
