We are proud of the work we do helping Virginia's children. Last year, DCSE located 134,705 non-custodial parents, established 10,879 paternities and collected more than $506 million (an increase of 6.8 percent over the previous year) for the children of Virginia
Still, unpaid child support is a significant problem. To illustrate, visit our Web page which features some of Virginia's Most Wanted child support evaders. These individuals are only 12 of nearly 361,000 delinquent parents in Virginia. Collectively, 361,000 parents owe their children more than $2 billion.
To noncustodial parents who responsibly pay their child support and are involved with their children's lives, thank you for doing the right thing. Your children thank you. They know and appreciate the difference two loving and supportive parents make.
To noncustodial parents who do not pay their child support responsibly, think about the young lives you can change dramatically for the better if you simply become the parent and provider you can and should be.
To all Virginians, we ask you to help us help the children of Virginia. Help us find parents who are delinquent in their responsibilities by letting us know their whereabouts. Please contact us at (800) 257-9986 if you would like to report a child support evader.
